One Door Mental Health is committed to improving the circumstances and welfare of people with a serious mental illness, their relatives and carers, and professionals working in the area.
As a casual Support Worker, you will assist a team of Primary Support Workers to work towards meeting their NDIS goals. You will use your amazing communications skills build excellent rapport with clients, their families the One Door team and other stakeholders. Your understanding of the recovery oriented approach to assisting people living with mental illness will allow you to work with clients in both group and one-on-one settings as you support them to make decisions, overcome barriers and fulfil their NDIS plan aims.
What you can bring to the role
To succeed in this role you will need a current and valid Working with Children Check clearance. A current and valid driver's license and access to a registered, fully insured vehicle is also necessary as you will need to travel within the local region for the role. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline to a minimum of Certificate IV are needed.
